A number of churches are opening their facilities for worship services. We want you to realize that our seating capacity and limitations make it difficult (impossible) for us to “social distance” and comply with the government directives. We would be limited to about 65 people in our sanctuary, moving about for things like restroom use would be prohibitive, and allowing people to exit the church would bring them too close together. These issues combined with the fact that we do not feel assured that our church family would be safe in a close contact situation for worship make a decision to “reopen” unwise at this time. Our current attendance in the Drive-In Service combined with the number of people watching Online actually exceeds the regular attendance for this time of year. It is a lot more planning and work to make the outdoor service happen and we have the uncertainty of the weather to contend with each week. However, at this point it seems prudent to stay the course and trust in our God and this church family.
