“A Prayer for Peace”

Preacher:
Passage: Romans 5:1-11 and Luke 1:76-79
Service Type:

In this week's Thomas Kinkade painting the prophet, or perhaps Christ himself, stands praying over the city. It brings us a vision of Jesus praying for the peace of Jerusalem. In the moment in time we find ourselves in, the Lord is speaking to the Father about our need for peace. Due to the anxiety of the current health crisis and the violence that has erupted in our cities it is a timely prayer. Norman Vincent Peale said; "The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence". How does one find this peace when the world seems to be shaking beneath our feet?
