“A Shepherd Boy and A Carpenter’s Son”
King David was an unimpressive, somewhat scrawny, young boy who tended his father's sheep. When he was chosen to be king he was not a very likely choice. Yet it was God's plan to love him and lift him up to a remarkable place in history. From the line of David comes the Savior of the world, Jesus the Christ. He too has what appears to be very humble beginnings. Sweeping out the saw dust and tidying up his father's wood shop. Again, God places his hand upon his son and uses him to rescue mankind from destruction. Even death could not stop the words of King David or the mission of Jesus. Perhaps God has a task or a mission for you. Don't sell yourself short. If God can use a shepherd boy and a carpenter's son - He can use you too.
