“A Thanksgiving Lifestyle”

Passage: Colossians 2:6-8, 16-19
Service Type:

Thanksgiving is an American tradition and a biblical principle. The psalmist wrote, "At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee." The philosopher Cicero said, "A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues." Izaak Walton wrote, "God has two dwellings one in heaven, and the other in the meek and thankful hearts." "When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings - name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done." Don't just celebrate Thanksgiving - let a thankful heart become your source and lifestyle.  Happy Thanksgiving!
