And so it begins ... the pre-Christmas rush and all the feelings of being overwhelmed by a myriad of things to do. Let me suggest, as our Savior did, that you calm down for a few moments and do what's sensible. When the anticipation of what lies ahead causes us to panic, we are wise if we don't try to conquer all our problems at once but instead trust God for the solutions. "Be, therefore, not anxious about tomorrow" Matthew 6:34. As an anonymous poet wrote: "When you live every hour by God's grace and God's power, you know He will guide you aright. When you face all your troubles just one at a time, your faith puts those troubles to flight."
