“Be Not Afraid”

Preacher:
Series:
Passage: Matthew 10:24-31
Service Type:

Unnecessary fears lead to worry and spiritual unrest. The scripture says they are forbidden by the Lord. Isaiah the prophet referred to this when he said "I will trust, and not be afraid." Unfounded dread of the future disregards God's loving guidance and providential provision. The habitual worrier, who always frets over things that are out of their control, shows a lack of trust in the Heavenly Father. Their attitude is not grounded in faith, and the Bible says that "whatever is not of faith is not of God." The great Michael Talbot hymn says "Be not afraid I go before you always. Come follow me and I will give you rest."
