Throughout the Old Testament, when believers became aware of God's presence, they recognized his special nature by proclaiming "But you, Lord".  He was all around them and blessing their lives.  In the New Testament a new relationship is established through Jesus Christ and Paul proclaims "But now!"  His presence is not only with them it is within every one who believes.  This is also dramatically illustrated in the Holy Communion.
