In the first chapter of the Gospel of John it says "The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." In the difficult days we have experienced lately there seems to be a thick darkness with its attending fear, sickness and confusion. While some seem to relish in the anger and pain of the political upheaval and the COVID-19 statistics I believe their joy will be short lived. Our Savior, Jesus, the Light of the World and the Church that serves Him will once again shine a light to dispel the gloom. The history that some would try to erase teaches us after every time of darkness and unrest a revival of the church takes place. The time of trouble may not be over, but very soon we shall see the truth of His Word come to pass: "Arise, Shine for the LIGHT has come, and the Glory of the Lord has risen upon you."
