“How Quickly We Forget”

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 66:1-20

The scriptures recount at great length the amazing deeds of God in the past. He has blessed us and we should be filled with gratitude. That knowledge of His care and provision should give us confidence. John Newton wrote in his famous hymn "Since all that I meet shall work for my good, the bitter is sweet, the medicine is food; Though painful at present will cease before long, And then, O! how pleasant, the conqueror's song!" Remembering God's past love and care is the only way to face present stress with confidence and poise. "Trust and obey, for there is no other way."
