“May The Road Rise Up To Meet You”
This Irish blessing was originally spoken in Gaelic. It is translated incorrectly by many. It should read "May you succeed on your road". Knowing that the first line asks for success, the element of wind "at your back" (the Holy Spirit) simply means that you may have the power of the Spirit to go against the difficulties of life and God to help push you along. Success comes through character and faith as we travel the roads of life. "May God hold you in the palm of His hand."
