“Heroes And Nemesis”

Preacher:
Passage: 1 Samuel 25:2-42
Service Type:

One of the greatest love stories of all time is Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". Juliet fakes her death, but Romeo thinks she is dead, so he kills himself. Juliet, seeing that Romeo is dead, kills herself. Both probably figured that life without Love isn't worth living. Marriage is a sacred lifetime union between a man and a woman designed to be an analogy of the Gospel, meaning how Jesus loved the church. Sometimes what usually starts with 'butterflies in the stomach", over time, it usually turns into something else. The reason relationships, like marriages change is usually because of unmet expectations. Abigail, one of David's biblical wives, was married to Nabal. Abigail was an intelligent and beautiful woman, but her husband was surly and mean, yet she stayed married until the Lord struck Nabal and he died (1 Samuel 25:38).
