The most important task of the Church is to love those inside and outside its walls. The misguided youth who shoots a dozen of his classmates is often a lonely soul who needed just one person to show interest and love. The senior citizen who sits in their room in the care facility longing for a visit and a friendly face to make the loneliness disappear. A hurting clerk at their register in the grocery store who needs a little kindness to make their day go better. There are so many people who could have the direction of their day and life changed by just a little love from you. Menninger wrote, "Love cures people – both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it."
