“Where Do We Go From Here?”
On August 16, 1967 Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke these words to a convention in Atlanta, Georgia. "This is our hope for the future, and with this faith we will be able to sing in some not too distant tomorrow, with a cosmic past tense, 'We have overcome! We have overcome! Deep in my heart, I did believe we would overcome.'" It is my prayer, my hope, my dream that we are headed rapidly toward that day when we will have overcome COVID-19, racism, injustice, cancer, heart disease, and the lack of faith that has brought us to our knee. In a world of catch phrases, sound bites, politically correct rhetoric, and the ever present lack of a plan or direction - Where Do We Go From Here?
